ATTU/Emergency Services
The ATTU is a 24-hour residential facility that provides a community-based alternative to the hospital. Residents can be seen daily by the psychiatrist if necessary. Medications are monitored and residents participate in individual and group therapy. The ATTU also has a step-down service that allows some clients lengthier stays in this structured setting to insure psychiatric stabilization and health.
Emergency Services consists of three full-time intake specialists who evaluate clients in need of emergent and urgent care. Emergency Services also employs on-call screeners to provide level of care assessments for those in need on weekends and after hours. The Emergency Services Team at SPMHC utilizes Masters prepared clinicians who serve as interventionists as well as evaluators to insure that the client receives psychiatric services in the least restrictive setting that meets their needs.
